Friends of the Library from across the state visited Raleigh in June 2006. A delegation from Greensboro Public Library and High Point Public Library collaborated to personally visit the offices of each Guilford County representative, and hosted a luncheon for all. The message was one of gratitude for support of statewide initiatives that benefit us all, and encouragement for the continued funding of NC LIVE. Member of the Friends of the Greensboro Public Library who attended included Tony Dillard, Calvin Boykin, Willie Taylor and Marilyn Miller. This yearly trip to Raleigh is one of the important ways Friends advocate for the libraries.
