Joining the Friends of the Library is an excellent way to support the library and serve your community.

Your membership helps us to sponsor a variety of library programs (including One City One Book and Poetry GSO) as well as the Booklovers Shop at the Central Library.  You make it possible for the Friends to give the Literary Laurel Award each year – this year to Reynolds Price.  The Friends Membership Committee is working hard to publicize the benefits of being a Friend of the Library and we  need your help. 

Our library is at an exciting time with the passage of the library bond this fall.  Your support helps the library staff to continue to provide excellent service and ample materials for your use.  Thank you for your past support and we look forward to making your friends the library’s Friends!

Honor a Friend

Our Friends are part of an exclusive group.  However, libraries are all-inclusive and we would like to broaden our reach!  Please consider making all of your friends and family members our Friends as well.  You can complete our membership form in their name if you would like to honor someone with a Friends membership.  We will notify them that you have thought enough of them to honor them in this way and they will immediately begin to enjoy the benefits of Friends membership.
